The hiking paradise on our doorstep

Got your hiking boots ready? Then, just get going! Numerous trails begin right at the Hofer – from gentle walks across alpine meadows to demanding summit routes. You’ll hike through lush pastures and shady woods and reach rustic mountain huts serving home-made specialities.
For those who want to go higher, the surrounding cable cars make it easy to cover altitude – letting you focus entirely on the views, nature and mountain experience. And if you’re keen for a real alpine challenge: there are a few 3,000-metre peaks nearby just waiting to be explored.
Which tour suits you best? We’ll help you find out in person – with individual advice and real insider tips you won’t find in any hiking guide.

Cycling through Valles:
leisure rides with a view

Whether mountain bike or e-bike: our valley is great for discovering on two wheels too. Start directly from the Hofer – for example along the forest track towards Jochtal, from where you can continue over alpine pastures at an easy pace and enjoy the panorama.
Or head down the valley towards Rio di Pusteria – from there, you’ll have access to countless routes in every direction.
While Valles doesn’t offer marked trails or downhill runs, it does have well-maintained forest paths and plenty of space for relaxed rides through nature. And if the ride back takes longer than expected: just hop on a bus for a stress-free return.
And the best part: you don’t even need your own bike. Kathrin’s cousin runs a bike rental in Rio di Pusteria – as our guest, you can easily pre-order your ideal bike there. Whether it’s an e-bike or MTB: it’ll be delivered straight to us or – if you prefer to start down in the valley – reserved for you in Rio di Pusteria. As a bonus, you get 10% off the rental. Convenient, easy, and perfect for spontaneous tours.

A holiday made for families

Families feel right at home at the Hofer – not just because of the relaxed atmosphere, but also because there’s so much to do all around.

Thanks to the Almencard, you can take part in the tourism association’s family programme: llama trekking, high ropes course, adventure hikes, the Elf Trail, Castello di Rodengo, the MĂŒhlenweg trail, or a visit to one of six nearby adventure parks – all waiting to be discovered by young and old alike.
Climbing enthusiasts are drawn to the high ropes course “Kronaction” in Issengo, and for a refreshing dip, there’s the open-air pool in Rio di Pusteria, the Alpinpool in Maranza or the Acquarena in Bressanone.
